BLANEY, MCDOWELL TO WHEEL CARS FOR PRISM

Dave Blaney will return to Prism Motorsports in 2010 to wheel the #66 Toyota. Blaney spent last season competing with the team as a start and park entrant. Phil Parsons and Randy Humprey are looking for the sponsorship money in 2010 to allow for Blaney to drive competitively in the Prism Motorsports Toyota. In 30 races he made with the team, 29 of them saw the #66 team start and park. The team plans to go all-out in an attempt to qualify for the Daytona 500. If the team makes the field, they will race. Parsons says that there is enough money up for grabs at Daytona that he has no intention of not going the full distance.

"Dave is our guy," Parsons said. "We didn't want to be a start and park last year. But we're trying to build something for the future and that's what we had to do to survive without sponsorship. We want to race this year. We're talking to people about sponsorship but don't have anything yet. We hope to have the money from the outside that will let Dave race. But if we don't, we want to be able to do it ourselves.”

Michael McDowell will also drive a second car for the team in 2010 as a teammate to Blaney, as the team tries to find an economic situation that will benefit all parties involved. Along with his Cup duties with Prism Motorsports, McDowell will also take the reigns of the #81 McDonald Motorsports Dodge and drive the full Nationwide Series schedule.
